Blog No. 2 Video for Moonface and Siinai ‘Risto’s Riff’
In a world obsessed with taking photographs, that sucks joys and spontaneity out of everything, turns beautiful little things into never ending clutter of visual debris, a new mechanical winged creature appears. It’s purpose is to remind us of the principle behind Occam’s Razor: ‘entities must not be multiplied beyond necessity’, it urges us to stop letting things out into the world that are not needed.
The animation uses magnetic properties of materials ranging from ferrofluid to hematite, iron powder and steel shot, moved by concealed magnets.

‘Risto’s Riff’ music video was a winner in Music Video category at IndieFEST Award in July 2016 and a winner of Awards of Merit in Best Shorts Competition.
