Blog No. 4 Fractal Body Dysmorphia
A new piece of work that looks at the disconnect between the perceived standards of the female form and the actual shape and warmth of a real body. The circular inserts contain two 50 minute life drawings representing realistic and unposed women, surrounded by a fractal forest of contorted, polished and enhanced torsos and limbs. The coloured inks on the artwork were propelled by steel shot and magnets, the method identical to the one developed for ‘Risto’s Riff’ video.
