- Like a comic strip in photographs: Most of these people I've known for many years and we chose a day that was in some way important to them like their birthday or a day they were to fly across the ocean.

Gareth Evans, London.
Gareth is a teacher and he participated in this project by starting reading a book by Dostoyevsky and later modelling for a pencil drawing. He was my model at school too and it was 13 years since I last drawn him.

Dan Depp, Moscow.
Dan was having a photo shoot in the evening based on the Grand Theft Auto theme and he was researching during the day. He was practising some acrobatics and was just generally messing about. The last picture is taken during his performance for the camera.

Nadia Charlier, Moscow.
Nadia was celebrating her birthday that day with friends, family and her three boys. She was due to have another child very soon so the last three photographs were taken just a few days later when she had the baby, also a boy.

Ric Hill, London.
Ric and his wife Emily just recently completed a 9 month trip across both Americas on their motorbikes, but these photographs were taken a few years earlier on a day Ric was due to have one of his other trips across the ocean. I followed him from the moment he got up, packed, went to work and then went to the airport in the evening. It was too dark to photograph his plane unfortunately.

Steve Rae, Aberdeen.
Steve is a writer and an artist whom I met a couple of years ago. I flew over that day to visit Steve in Scotland, so the first picture was taken from the plane. The rest is the three days of visiting greenhouses with cacti, going to friend's houses for dinner, staying up late in recording studio and drawing together on the beach by the castle.
